Topic - Overspending calculation

Deduct behavior (default)

When you are overspending in a category, says your groceries or eating out, the default behavior is that overspending will be used to deduct your next month's "To be budgeted" amount. This means is that next month you'll have less money unless you adjust the overspending category.

This is called the "deduct" calculation, which is how all categories in EP behave when they are created. Most of the time you will want to stick with this as it make it easier to know when you are overspending.
